NATURAL SPEED
As part of an ongoing Formula 1 series, I paint one of the fastest animals or predators from each Grand Prix country,
along with the layout of the Grand Prix’s track.
For the British Grand Prix I painted England's fastest animal, the European hare (also known as the brown hare) darting through the track.
For the Hungarian Grand Prix, I painted one of the fastest animals and predators in Hungary, the Eurasian Lynx. Fun fact, the Eurasian lynx has no natural predators and is also one of the largest predators in Europe!
For the Belgian Grand Prix I painted one of the fastest animals in Belgium, the European fallow deer. Fun fact, fallow deer can run up to a maximum speed of 48 km/h over short distances, 10 km/h faster than most other cervid due to their lean build, much like the lean builds of F1 drivers.
